Popstar of the Year 2010
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Eligibility: 1.Entries are accepted from 4-16 years old that are presently studying and living in Singapore. Solo Artists managed by Precious Entertainment are not eligible to participate in the competition. Grand Champion from previous year’s contest.
2.There will be three categories to group the participants according to their ages.
4 – 6 years old
7 – 12 years old
13 – 16 years old
Entry:
3. Each performer is allowed a maximum of 3 minutes.
4. Performers may enter ONLY as a soloist.
5. Each contestant must fill out and complete an entry form and attach a recent photograph.
6. Deadline for submission of entry form is on or before 9th of March2010 by either submitting it personally to Precious Entertainment at 11 Unity Street #02-01 Robertson Walk Singapore 237995 or via fax 6836-5018. Alternatively, contestants may email forms and attachments to aj@kidsperforming.com Registration forms can be downloaded from www.kidsperforming.com
Judging:
7. There will be three members in the panel of judges. The organisers reserve the right to substitute judges as necessary.
8. Performers will be judged according to standards of technical skills and entertainment value. Performers are evaluated in relation to a standard of quality in each competition, category and age group.

9 – 12 years old

*Popularity votes accumulated via minimum S$5purchase at the Cafe and Shoppe. Receipts are then dropped in respective contestant’s boxes and tabulated at the end of each heat/completion.
Rules, Regulations and Guidelines:
10. Failure to show up during competition disqualifies the contestant.
11. Performers to supply own personal equipment – costumes and CDs.
12. Backing tracks or music for the performances is to be submitted at least two days before all competitions. Accompanying music is required to be in CD format of good quality. The organisers will not be responsible for poor quality playbacks or technical malfunctions should the CD be defective, scratched, in wrong format or of poor quality. Please indicate name, category and song title in each CD. Use one CD for each performance competition. Do not record two different performance tracks into the same CD.
13. Auditions will be held at Popstars City. Audition dates are as follows;
Auditions MARCH 1 – 7 @ 10 - 12nn
MARCH 1 – 7 @ 5 – 7pm
*Applicants come on a First Come Fist Screened Basis and they sing A CAPELLA in a closed door venue.
*The qualifying applicant will then be given a colour coded ticket; Purple (4-6), Green (7-12) and Orange (13-16) that will detail the time they need to come back for the quarter finals, the requirements for the song, contact details for further questions.
1st Quarter Finals MARCH 10 @ 7pm
* Quarter Finalists sing a song of their choice and must report 1 hour before the show for briefing.
* Qualifying applicants will then move on to Semi Finals and will be given a color coded ticket; Purple (4-6), Green (7-12) and Orange (13-16) that will detail the time they need to come back for the 2nd Quarter Finals, the requirements for the song, contact details for further questions.
2nd Quarter Finals MARCH 17 @ 7pm
* Quarter Finalists sing a song of their choice and must report 1 hour before the show for briefing.
* Qualifying applicants will then move on to Semi Finals and will be given a color coded ticket; Purple (4-6), Green (7-12) and Orange (13-16) that will detail the time they need to come back for the Semi Finals, the requirements for the song, contact details for further questions.
14. Successful contestants will then move on to the Semi Finals on the 20th of May 2009. Contestants not present during the semi finals will be disqualified.
